For Riri, innovating also means investing in a process of research and continuous improvement, identifying not only low environmental impact solutions, but also alternative materials and production methods that help reducing emissions and achieving the set objectives.
Within each plant of our group, particular attention is paid to the selection of materials used to manufacture our accessories, in order to offer a wide choice of items that guarantee not only high quality, but also respect for the surrounding environment.
The most frequently used metals are zamak, brass and steel. The recycled composition of brass and steel, amounting to respectively 80% and 50%, allows for a high rate of resource circularity as well as making it possible to maintain high quality standards. All precious metals used by Riri are purchased from RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council – Chain of Custody) certified suppliers, ensuring responsible extraction and processing procedures throughout the production and distribution chain.
For yarns, we use GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified recycled polyester, which, from 2022, has a recycled raw materials composition 100% sourced from post-consumer materials.
In addition to polyester, Riri uses organic cotton certified GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), which guarantees the use of natural fibers coming from a supply chain that is socially responsible and environmentally friendly.
