The ‘Piazza di Siena’ event took place, from 25th to 28th May, in the exceptional location of Villa Borghese in Rome. The competition, which brings together the world’s showjumping elite, celebrated its 90th edition this year.
During the four days the most important riders of the contemporary scene faced each other in a series of competitions, including the Intesa SanPaolo Nations Cup and the Rolex Gran Prix of Rome, where technique and skills were of the highest standards.
Among the protagonists of the event there was also Amom, the Riri Group company based in Badia al Pino (Arezzo) which, for almost 50 years, has been designing and producing metal components and fashion jewels for the leading luxury brands.
Amom took care of realizing the trophies awarded to the winners of the different categories of the horse-riding competition: each is a faithful reproduction of the obstacle the horses jump inside the prestigious oval square of Piazza di Siena, customized with the logo of the main sponsors.
A variety of techniques were used to make the prizes, including lost-wax casting and laser cutting for the brass components and CNC cutting for the wooden base. Each trophy was then embellished with gold, palladium and bronze galvanic finishes, hand-varnishing, hand-enamelling and inkjet prints. Each element is a unique piece, customized down to the last detail, showing the artisanal craftsmanship and care of the Tuscan company.
