Riri boasts a wide range of posters that, through iconic images of zips and buttons, retrace the history of the Group. One of these was selected for the “Collezione Salce” editorial project which, through the combination of a planner and a calendar, gathers 12 advertising posters and the relating fonts.
The initiative, promoted by design-associati, visual communication experts from Treviso, takes shape with the Collezione Salce, that with its 24,850 works, represents the most extensive collection of Italian graphic design. Ferdinando Salce, avid collector of illustrated posters, took over 67 years to put together his large collection of original pieces that on his death were donated to the “Collezione Salce Museo Nazionale”.
Starting from here, the designers from design-associati took inspiration from the fonts used in the posters to develop, through the combination of a planner and a calendar, new and original fonts: the project is a tribute to the illustrators from the first half of the ‘900, to the care dedicated to the selection of typefaces and the companies that, through iconic advertising posters, have told a part of their story.
