On November 13th, to celebrate National Future Day, the Oerlikon Riri plant in Mendrisio opened its doors to some very special guests: the children of our employees and the 3rd and 4th grade students from the Secondary school of Morbio (Ticino).
The initiative, aimed at young people aged 11 to 14, is designed to give them insight into the opportunities offered by the world of work and to support them in discovering new interests and possible future paths.
Throughout the day, the students had the chance to experience our company firsthand, following a guided tour through the production departments and offices to learn how Riri zippers are made. The visit continued with a series of hands-on activities dedicated to the world of zippers: from matching tape colors to measuring chains and assembling sliders. The day concluded with a delicious afternoon snack.
The students’ enthusiastic participation confirms the importance of initiatives like National Future Day, which bring younger generations closer to the professional world and inspire curiosity and talent. We are proud to have contributed to this educational experience and will continue to promote projects that strengthen the dialogue between schools and businesses!
