COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND PEOPLE: OERLIKON RIRI PUBLISHES ITS 2024 FIGURES

Oerlikon Riri and Oerlikon Fineparts confirm their commitment to transparent and responsible communication on their economic, environmental and social performance in 2024. The reporting activity, which began in 2019, now covers 11 plants in Switzerland, Italy, France and Portugal.

Among the most significant achievements of the past year:

• Supply chain: the Supplier qualification process was extended to 43% of partners in the zip division and 20% of those in the buttons, metal components and fashion jewels divisions.
• Raw materials: the gold and palladium purchased by our factories are 95% and 100% recycled respectively.
• Energy: 93% of the energy supplied to our factories comes from renewable sources.

Special attention has also been paid to human capital, with significant results also in terms of inclusion. Today, 58% of the company’s workforce is made up of women, 35% of whom hold managerial positions; in addition, more than 57% of employees have been with the company for over five years.
