On November 14th, on the occasion of National Future Career Day, the Oerlikon Riri plant in Mendrisio opened its doors to the kids of employees.
The initiative aims to show to the students at the Secondary schools (11-14 years old) some of the opportunities offered by the world of work, helping to broaden their future vision.
During the day, a group of 36 children got a first-hand insight into the working reality of their parents and the historical Riri headquarters, finding out how the iconic metal zips are made.
After a presentation by the management team, the students visited the productive departments and the offices, observing their parents at work! After the tour, they engaged in a series of fun activities, which show them putting into practice what they had previously learnt: matching of colours tape, measurement of chains and assembly of sliders.
Riri has always believed in the potential of the new generations and is pleased to be able to make a contribution, even a small one, to their education!
