On September 18th, HSE Day, the day dedicated to health and safety in the work place, was held at all Oerlikon plants. All employees of the Oerlikon Riri and Oerlikon Fineparts sites took part in the event.
This year the theme was the prevention of risks related to fires. Although this type of incident is not frequent in the companies of the Group, it is essential to be prepared, making all employees aware of how to prevent fires, respond effectively and act correctly in the event of danger.
The training sessions were followed by interactive activities, in cooperation with local Fire Departments and prevention service suppliers, who provided support, materials, explanations on the various fire prevention devices and practical demonstrations of the correct intervention methods in the event of danger.
As underlined by the President of Oerlikon Luxury Katharina Rick, through a video message broadcast in all the plants of the Group: ‘The contribution of each of us is crucial to making the working environment increasingly safer: by promptly reporting incorrect behavior, you can protect yourself and your colleagues’.
