For Riri, 2023 was a fundamental year that, following its entry into the Oerlikon Group, saw the creation of Oerlikon Luxury, business sector that combines the expertise of Riri and Coeurdor in the world of luxury accessories with the deep know how of Oerlikon in PVD technologies.
As explained by the President of Oerlikon Luxury Renato Usoni “Working in synergy as a united and motivated team, oriented towards a common goal, we have achieved numerous milestones in terms of integration. Among them, I am particularly proud to share our first Commitment to sustainability”.
Riri started publishing its environmental performance in 2019, including, starting from 2021, also economic and social results. From 2023, the reporting boundary was extended to the new business sector Oerlikon Luxury, referring to a total of 11 plants in Switzerland, Italy, France and Portugal.
Among the most relevant information:
– 97% of suppliers are located close to the production sites;
– 65% of waste is disposed of through recovery or recycling;
– 91% of electricity comes from renewable sources;
– 54% of employees have worked for the Group for more than 6 years;
– identification of reduction targets to 2030, following the Science Based Targets initiative.
