For Riri, 2023 was a pivotal year that saw the creation of the two brands Oerlikon Riri and Oerlikon Fineparts, following its entry into the Oerlikon Group.
As the President of Oerlikon Luxury Renato Usoni explains, “Working in synergy as a united and motivated team, oriented towards a common goal, we have achieved numerous milestones in terms of integration. Among them, I am particularly proud to share the first Commitment to sustainability concerning both brands”.
Riri started publishing its environmental performance in 2019, including, starting from 2021, also economic and social results. From 2023, the reporting boundary was extended to all the plants of the new Oerlikon’s Luxury business sector, referring to a total of 11 sites in Switzerland, Italy, France and Portugal.
Among the most relevant information:
– 97% of suppliers are located close to the production sites;
– 65% of waste is disposed of through recovery or recycling;
– 91% of electricity comes from renewable sources;
– 54% of employees have worked for the Group for more than 6 years;
– identification of reduction targets to 2030, following the Science Based Targets initiative.
