Also this year, Riri has been a sponsor of ISKO I-SKOOL™, the creative contest created by the brand ISKO™ to develop and reward the talent of students from the most renowned international fashion schools.
The sixth edition of the contest took place in an outstanding location, the Glashaus in Berlin on 3 July, with a final ceremony featuring as special guest Matthew Modine, a multiple award winning actor and one of the protagonists of the TV series “Stranger things”.
The “Riri Award”, with specific focus this year on the world of accessories, was handed out by the guest Matthew Modine and by the Sales and Marketing Director Nantas Montonati, to the Polimoda student Bilge Hakan Gurkaynak.
“You Fit”, the project designed by Bilge, is a real tribute to the world of denim, starting from the trouser model used by miners in California and reaching the modern concept of jeans, for men who work, travel and need a garment item which is functional as well as fashionable.
A distinguishing trait of “You fit” is also the unique use of accessories, more specifically of buttons, which are turned into as many small style details.
Also the topic of sustainability proved pivotal in selecting the award winner: the project by Bilge indeed stands out because of its attention to choosing recyclable materials and accessories, notably zips and buttons, with a low environmental impact.
